HOW DO I INSTALLED LINUX ON GATEWAY 7210GX

My laptop doesn't seem to want to boot from any Linux CDs. I tried Auditor, Backtrack, PCLinux, and the Ubuntu Install Disc v5.1 for i386. I have it set up right in the bios, and it even reads the discs before it goes to the hard drive.

What am I doing wrong here?

I see. Did you try to rewrite the BIOS into the CMOS (Go to BIOS and save your cahnges again)? It would say press any key yo boot from CD. Does it say that?
