oh crapolla... HD died?

ok... everything seemed fine.  The only new thing I had installed was Sims2 (+expansions), and then it seemed to freeze while it was loading so I hit the restart button.  When it started back up I got the blue screen of death.  I've tried restarting in safe mode and also last known good configuration and I keep getting the blue screen.  I also tried taking it out of that 'puter and putting it as a slave in my other computer.  Now it seems like an empty drive.  When I click on open for that drive it says it hasn't been formatted and would I like to.  I clicked no and it just went away!

HELP!

P.S.  windows XP.  PC Chips M861G MB.

hmm... could one reason it won't work on other computer is because it's a different MB?

umm... if i plug this HD back into the computer that it's the main drive in Windows doesn't start.  The blue screen comes on before windows finishes loading... safe mode don't work either, neither does last known good configuration

like, could you tell us WHAT the blue screen says?

download, mount to cd and ckeck your hdd with hdd regenerator and also look for your hdd manufacturer tool wich should be included in the cd.
