i have acquired an old laptop with 98 on it, i have heard that there is (was) a cd you could order from microsoft that would essentially update it to 98 second edition. i am having difficulty finding the name of this cd anywhere, or a torrent for it.
if anyone has any information, please provide.

microsoft's support for win98-ME ended a few months ago. either install some sort of linux, or "acquire" win2k or something (if the laptop can take it)

the laptop doesnt meet the requirements for 2k, and i thought about trying a flavor of linux, but not today. guess ill just try SE :/

You're bound to be able to find 98SE discs on eBay very cheaply (though I still reckon a lightweight flavour of Linux is the way to go for playing with older hardware)
