recovering deleted files

hi guys, i just lost a folder with a ton of my pictures in it, and i'm wondering if there is anything i can do to get them back? its not severe enough to warrant paying for data recovery, but at the same time, i'd really like them back.

i accidentally shift+del'd them. filesystem is whatever a prebuilt gateway would come with...ntfs i guess.

try other searches, too. you may want to image the drive - which is really the immediate action, to prevent further overwriting. norton ghost, trueimage, etc.

they work randomly, so try a bunch of them.
