A8V-E SE Help

Name: Anonymous 2006-08-12 0:11

Okay guys, I'm building a new computer with the specified A8V-E SE  mobo.  I looked all over the manual to find nothing, and Asus's support is shit-tastic.  When I boot up the computer, the boot screen will pop up and give me the option to press delete to enter setup.  My keyboard does not respond at that time.  But if I turn on the computer and hold delete until the machine boots up, then it will say it is going to BIOS (although it doesn't).  It seems that the Numlock light doesn't work when it boots to the Asus screen, but it will work if I hold it down when the computer first turns on.  I unplugged all hardware except for the processor, memory, and video card.  Of course I left in the power.

Okay, thank you for telling me, but I'd still like to get this thing to work now that I've spent money.  Anyone have any ideas?

I've never had a problem with any of my Asus boards, or any of my ther Asus hardware. Have 3 machines with ASus cases, power supplies, and motherboards that have ran perfectly for months on end. Have an Asus wireless router that I've had for about 5 months and I have never needed to reboot it other than to apply settings (it has never crashed).

I've never had a USB keyboard issue even on my old A7V, but try a PS/2 anyways. Also, try clearing the CMOS.

Don't change these.
