In FireFox, when i have multiple tabs open and i close one, the tab to the left of it becomes active. How can i make Opera do this too? Also, are there any handy plugins for Opera? Any tips/tricks i should know of?

There's no built-in option to get that behaviour, but you can get it from a custom button (which might be useful depending on how you usually close pages). Just drag the appropriate button from http://operawiki.info/CustomButtons#page
into your user interface.
