School's just around the corner, and mine uses the evil that is Sonicwall. Now I've seen 'bypass my schools firewall plzplzplz' threads before, and the response is typically to use a proxy. With Sonicwall, however, proxies don't work. It still directs you to the 'content blocked' page, no matter what proxy you use. So, /comp/, is there anyone out there that can help me in my quest? There's one free internet up for grabs.

If it's a hardware firewall, have a nice day. If it's software, then maybe someone could help.

Indeed, it's a hardware firewall... Although not on my end. On theirs. Still unbypassable, right?

No. Use Perl or PHP to open an internet page and print it back, substituting absolute URLs for relative ones. That's how I beat Websense in High School.

Lurk moar, as I have read about Sonicwall exploits before. ALTHOUGH, your school can probably afford a competant administrator if they afford Sonicwall, and presumeably one who might check traffic logs once in a while.
See if you can establish a VPN connection to say, a machine at home that runs a proxy off a cable/dsl connection.

OP here...
#5, yes, I've heard about this before - using your home internet connection to bypass firewalls, etc. I'll be sure to look into it. Thanks again.
#4 Never heard of either. You win an internet for providing me with some fascinating reading, at the least.
I'll get back to you guys when school starts, to tell how it went. Thanks again for all posts.

Does it allow java applets? If so, you could set up VNC at home.
