WoW Minimizes itself

Name: Anonymous 2006-08-06 19:10

I recently installed WoW on my computer and started playing, but from time to time the game just minimizes itself.  I opened task manager and realized it does this whenever cpu use spikes.  Now, I don't have any programs on in the backround when I play except for Trillian.

I have no idea what this could be.  I'm running on XP, AMD 2441 MGhz processor, and a Radeon 9600 graphics card.  I should be able to run wow just fine.  Anybody have any ideas?

Either it's something in a game opening a program (like when you get to a cutscene, me for example, would have the game get minimized by my oggvorbis codec program opening in the background; it's not too annoying, just alt+tab back in, and it's rare anyway) or you actually DO have something running in the background and you don't know it.

when you hit CTL-ALT-DEL click on the Proccesses tab and make sure that only windows programs and the game are running other than that the prog may have installed incorrectly i never have used WoW so don't take my word 100%. but that is what i woud check first.

Don't change these.
