know how to read a hijackthis log?

I've got some adware on my computer that ad-aware, avast and spybot won't detect.

Please if anyone knows how to read a hijackthis log post and i will post my log. My cousin used my computer to access untrusted websites and now i got stuck with this crap.

Did you check for viruses too? I recommend you use AVG and Spysweeper (spyware detector) to check.

Just delete the stuff that doesn't belong.

Paste the log into www.hijackthis.de and follow its recommendations. It's worked for me so far.

What do you mean where it is, you just check the boxes next to the stuff that doesn't belong.

the whole point of me posting here, is that i don't know how to read to log accurately enough to do it all by myself without error.

Anyway, HJT located where the main problem was, but i can't delete it. It keeps saying it's being used. when i try to overwrite it, nothing happens. i even downloaded eraser to get rid of it but erasor can't delete it.

Is there any other way to delete it? shouldn't avast be able to quarantine it or something?

What IS the file? I may've heard of it before.

Though my general advice would be to try doing it in safe mode, and if you're absolutely sure it's a file safe to delete, destroying it in DOS/BartPE.

Don't change these.
