Virus?

Hey guys, I turned on my laptop this morning and I logged in windows as always. However, I got stuck at the desktop's wallpaper(no icons, no start bar, I can use my mouse however), thinking it was lagging, I waited. The music went windows starts eventually played, however, no icons and such, it was still at the desktop. I waited some more and it got to the desktop w/ the icons and start bar. Now the internet didn't work and the taskmanager looked weird(link on top.) Lots of scvhosts. I restarted a few times and got the same result. I have not downloaded anything werid the past few days. Do I have a virus? And if so, how can I deal w/ it. I am talking w/ with ubuntu right now.thanks!

Undo whatever the shit it was that you did the last time you used it.

1. Use an antivirus program.  If you don't have one use an online antivirus scanner to see if it's really a virus.

2. Use a spyware remover program.

3. If things are really bad, do a system restore while in safe mode.

You're just in safe mode. None of those processes looks suspicious. Might just be a hardware conflict/failure or something.
