Unable to kill an app!

Name: Anonymous 2006-07-28 2:05

I come before you with a dillema. I installed this file-deletion program meant to erase old data, but the fucking program only dug itself into my computer and will not come out!

I tried deleting - unable because it is in use by another file, etc..

So I tried to delete it in safe mode....same thing! This thing is really trying to stick around, and i hates it.

And there is no remove file in the add/remove programs. And the thing doesn't even have a folder. Just that damn executable.

Help me 4chan, you're my only hope. I guarantee it.

maybe get a registry editing tool and try to keep it from booting up with windows. RegCleaner works great for me. just go to the programs that start up with the machine and delete the objects that you know to work with the application, or ones that just have the company name on it. then you can rip it out w/o it prompting you it's in use. i donno what else to tell you beyond that.

ps: what was the program?

The program is called 'Eraser' *creative, I know*.

Anyhow. I downloaded version 5.8, and the damned thing doesnt work. Ran a dos script real fast, and that was it. Nothing else.

Looking for all cases of 'eraser58' and deleting. Here's to hoping.

Got it. Had to reboot in safe mode under 'command prompt'. Had to manually go in and /erase the file. Ironic, if you think about it. I erased the eraser! LOLOZLOL....yeah. Well, I try.

Don't change these.
