Computer problem

Name: Anonymous 2006-07-16 23:12

My computer just crashed on me yesterday. Out of nowhere, it just closed down, and it wouldn't start up no more. What are some of th possibilties that can cause this problem? I've only had my computer for about 3 years, it got alittle dusty I guess, but overall I think it was in pretty good condition. any help will be appreciated. Sorry for my horrible spelling/grammer.

you don't have linux installed
you're not using opera (www.opera.com)
not enough megahurtz
you didn't delete the right registry settings
you're using the wrong version of the 4chan firefox extension

It's the pentium CPU. Everyone knows they lie on benchmarks.

thoroughly clean all the dust out (take the fan & heatsink off of the cpu and do them separately).

If absolutely nothing happens when you hit the 'on' switch (no lights, no sound of drives spinning up, absolutely nothing) - then the first thing I'd check would be the power supply.

Avoid Intel CPU's, they keep lying on benchmarks :\ Can't trust them at all.

Don't change these.
