hypertransport

Hey /comp/, it's rare that I have a question but right now I'm a little confused

I'm considering upgrading my computer after my motherboard died, and I'm looking into the Athlon 64 X2 4400+ which has a hypertransport of 2ghz.

The weird thing is that there don't seem to be any motherboards on Newegg that have a HT of more than 1ghz

What gives?

1GHz both ways on the hypertransport bus = 2GHz
Any motherboard that says it supports an A64 X2 will work no problems

Why does the CPU specifically say that it is a 2ghz and others say they're 1ghz?

Avoid Intel CPU's, they keep lying on benchmarks :\ Can't trust them at all.

Let's wait and see.
Meanwhile let's continue to use dual opterons.
