4chan not working

Name: Anonymous 2006-07-12 11:55

Recently when ever I am using 4chan it starts screwing up. Like after a min of browsing random boards suddenly pictures stop loading and 4chan takes for ever to load as well. Then the threads are all screwed up and not aligned right and shit. What could be causing this? I don't have this problem with any other website. Could it be something to do with DNS?

Bloody course not its dns. that just resolves ip address's. Its most likkely yourbrowser. Firefox sometimes does it to me... although it happens very rarely now.

Nice troll. Well, actually it was kind of uninspired and lacked enough evidence to take seriously.

Opera works fine with any "chan" imageboard.

so does firefox unless you're a fucking retard

lol wrong. stop disseminating this propaganda.

it's a well known fact that the latest Opera build has issues with caching that prevents 4chan from loading until a browser reboot.

the only known fix is to use an earlier beta 9 build. this was established on /g/ by about 10 users.

how come my opera works fine then?
and if there really is a problem (not related to e.g. installing over a beta release, or misconfiguration), then you should post at the opera forums. they tend to be pretty responsive.

It works fine for me too, except for the frontpage. For some reason the Opera9 final doesn't load it properly sometimes, so I have to hit ctrl-r twice. It does the same thing to wakachan.

Apparently it was fixed in a new build a week later. It's actually a bit retarded that such an obvious bug managed to sneak in after the final beta.

you could squash the bug yourself if you could see the source code...

That's very true, except that I'm already too busy. Not everyone is NEET, man. :/

For me, OSS or proprietary is treated the same: either it works, or it doesn't.
