Hey /g/,

Lately my Windows box has been malfunctioning, the USB ports that I use for my mouse & keyboard seem to be failing. My keyboard is a Pretty cheap Scissor style thin keyboard from Rosewill, and my mouse is an optical mouse from Microsoft. The problem is not constant, the mouse might work for five minutes or so, then cut out and come in every few seconds. It also stops working completely, sometimes at the same time as my keyboard. Sometimes it's just the keyboard, I've tried switching out ports, as I have four USB 1.0 ports front/back but the problem remainds. I first thought the mouse was broken, but the keyboard also exhibited the same behaviour, and it could not be reproduced on my server, linux or second windows box. It has surfaced on cold boots and at times when the machine was on for hours, and I'm leaning towards a Plug&Play issue . Also, unplugging the mouse and hooking it back up seems to alleviate the issue for a few seconds->minutes, but ultimately the mouse stops responding and the red light stops shinning. heh

(The keyboard seems to have the least frequency of this issue...)

Could the wisemen of /g/ diagnose my problem?

umm dunno all i can think of is try using other wireless mice and keyboards with the computer. If it is the keyboard and mouse happening to malfunction then replace them... but i am curious as to why it wont show this behaviour on the other computers mentioned

Thank God someone brings something new and refreshing to the boards. May I infer that you had mentos just before posting?

Loonix is gay.  You have to use Jesus Juice in order to run the millions of Windows programs.

Don't change these.
