i downloaded it already, can you give me some information regarding its function and settings? thank you

Well, that >>2 was more a smart-ass remark than anything else. You can get a convolver to do anything (and I mean it), but you'll first need to make an appropriate impulse file. Most people neither have the time, skill, or need to make such a thing.

If you really want to munge around with already-made impulse waveforms, download the *_impulses.zip here: http://sjeng.org/ftp/fb2k/

But you're better off digging through here for friendlier software: http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Components_0.9

You can also get some rather strange ones here: http://recherche.ircam.fr/equipes/salles/listen/

AHHH fuck it, i tried everything, and music sounds like crap in foobar compared to winamp (i have a dsp stacker plugin with blade dolby MP encoder+DFX). I tried track by track comparisons with and Winamp is just superior.

The only thing keeping foobar on my pc now is its unicode support and less memory eating. I guess ill just use winamp when im not playing games :(

FUCKING NULLSOFT, WHY NOT UNICODE???

You fail. Use Kernel Streaming, or GTFO.

DL the foo_dsp_delta component from >>4's link

You fail for thinking that putting tons of dsp effects on music makes it sound better.  Dumbasses like you are the reason that albums are mastered with tons of compression and the volume cranked all the way up.

im not kidding, it does sound better.

The only things I find useful are crossfeed and convolve, because both can be used to reduce listener fatigue with headphones.

No, it makes all of your music sound like it has a shitty vocoder echo effect on it.

then can u please tell me how to get a shitty vocoder echo effect on foobar2k? :-)

Not until you learn how to spell.

Use a convolver though.

i downloaded it and used like 20 impulses, but each of them sound really wierd (like muffled sounds, broken amps etc), which is not suitable for casual hearing :/

casual hearing sounds like a bad excuse for eavesdropping on someone.

Don't change these.
