mpeg4 videos

So I have these mpeg4 ipod videos that I also want to put on youtube. The problem is the files are way too large. I need a program that will allow me to cut the video into smaller videos so it can be posted on youtube.

find where the files are on the hard disk and then cut them into pieces by scratching the plate with a magnetized knife

Length or file size?

both

Quicktime will do it. It's a pretty shitty app for the PC, but if you enter a serial for the Pro version it'll let you either splice or recompress. It'll be less shitty on a Mac.

I'd usually say Virtualdub is the ideal solution for this sort of thing, but I dunno if that supports MPEG-4 container formats..
