SLI and dual monitors

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-30 20:51

I was hearing that if you are using SLI, you can't have multiple monitors.
Is there any truth to that?

If SLI mode is disabled, you can run four monitors just fine. Once you enable it, Card1/Port1 becomes the only display.

SLI can use two heads on cards that support dual head SLI

You can use a max of two monitors on an SLI bridge

No, you can't. When you enable SLI mode in the driver panel, ALL but Card 1, Display 1 are DISABLED.
Trust me, I have a pair of 7800GT's and four monitors, I switch modes back and forth daily.
