New wireless router

I have a very old linksys BEFW11S4 router that is crapping out on me. It just freezes random at least twice a day and I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to work. I've tried updating the firmware in the past, but that only gave me more problems... it would only hold an internet connection for two minutes. I'm thinking about buying a new router. Do you guys have any suggestions on what make/model I should get?

linksys or netgear are fine. Any technology (especially in the computer industry) that is more than 5 or so years old is archaic.

I thought I saw an ad for a new signal type though - 802.11 N so you may want to check on that before you splurge 80 dollars on a G router.
