LCD - PURPLE LINE

Wtf. So I woke up this morning, turned on my LCD monitor and found this vertical purple line. Wtf is this? Dead pixels? I'm no wiz at this stuff.

did you or one of your family members draw a purple line on the monitor at some point in the past?  that could be the cause.

I got that shit on my laptop monitor a while back, basically a connection for that column is messed up.  For a while I was able to fix it by slightly bending the top of my monitor until the vertical line disappeared.  I eventually got it replaced under my service contract.  Send it back if its still under warranty, otherwise there are some sites that will tell you how to fix it, but it won't be easy.
