Battlefield 2

Wondering if I should post this here or /games/ so I chose here.

I'm having some really strange issues with BF2. I have all my video settings on high and the game runs -perfectly- in single player; no lag, no glitches, nothing.

However, with the same video settings (and even after trying lower settings), when I go to play multiplayer online I get bad game lag.
No, it's not network lag. I've watched my ping while it happens and it stays between 30-40. It lags badly when I load the menu, lags badly when I try to quit, etc etc.

Does anyone know wtf the cause might be?

Try checking the connection option to adls/cable broadband instead of T1. It's under option and somewhere on the middle left.

Yep, I did that

Could be either: Your CPU not fast enough, or game server overloaded, or just someone connected has really really bad lag and is lagging everyone else.

If my CPU wasn't fast enough, I'd be noticing huge lag in single player, which I'm not.
It's not the game server; it happens with pretty much every server I go to.
And it's not net lag, like I mentioned.

Don't change these.
