I suppose it depends on how user-friendly you want. Spybot Search & Destroy is supposed to be a nice small but highly configurable program. But when i used it, it was just as user-unfriendly as Linux.
Personally, I like Webroot's Spysweeper (but there are no good/reliable cracks for it, best bet is to buy it -- only 30$) But currently I'm using a not-quite-legal copy of Ad-Aware Prof.
Spysweeper and Ad-Aware Pro, both do passive-scans, they sit in the system tray, and watch/scan files as they're accessed/downloaded, catching things as they happen --- as opposed to Ad-Aware free version, that you have to manually run the search (or set on a timer) it won't catch things when they happen, only after the fact when you tell it to look.
Soon as i find some money, I'm gonna pickup a copy of Spysweeper. It's one of the few programs that I feel is definitely worth buying.
