Hey, I have been using a 17" CRT monitor for a while. It's been good. However , I have been wanting to upgrade. I mostly serf the internet, play some games here and there(space cowboy, HL:2, and and generic korean mmos), photoshop here and there, watch a movie, or do nothing. I have been thinking of getting this one:

I hear things like ghosting and blurs while playing games on LCDs. If the dell one is not good, what do you guys suggest? Thanks!

CRT.

Good LCDs usually have no problem with ghosting and blurs anymore, go for it, but choose wisely. I don't know that Dell, can't comment on it.

CRT for gaming and videos, flatscreen monitors still fail hard at those.

12ms or lower should give you no ghosting or blurs.

Spoken like someone who has never seen a decent LCD before.

Hold out for a 2001fp if you're going to buy a Dell, and get one from EBay; A variety of sellers have new, under-warranty Dell LCD monitors for pretty cheap, as long as you don't get tricked into paying 100$ for shipping.

The dells are very nice, I use one at work and I would say they are excellent price for value.
