Ok, I just got a summer job and I am making forms basically, and there is one aspect that I cannot seem to figure out.  When making the forms there will be places where a person will need to fill out things like this:

NAME:___________
DATE:___________
ECT:_____________

Now my problem is the underlined part where the person will write.  HOW THE FUCK do you get them to all be the same length?  I have just been using a series of underscores, but they don't stop at the same place and it looks very unprofessional.  I'm sure there is something that I'm missing, any help?  Thanks.

Don't use underscores. Use tab to shift along the row as far as you need, then select the tabbed area and underline. Tabs always stop at the same points along each line.

What kind of forms? You can probably make some sort of table where one column has the labels and the other column the fields, so they are all properly aligned.

Tabbing is less complicated.

well, they all have to be a different layout, so tab works the best, thanks for all the help though

Don't change these.
