Internet explorer crashing

My IE keeps crashing on my other 'puter.  I've run virus scans and spyware scans but it keeps happening.  It's not just crashing it's just straight-up disappearing.  One minute I'm surfing just fine and dandy, the next minute.... no IE anywhere.  Help?


p.s. i've tried Microsoft support but couldn't find anything

www.opera.com didn't load....

ok opera does the same thing.. any suggested ideas on maybe a good (free) spyware killer or somethin? we've got symantec installed as well as spykiller

Firefox works the best I've found, and for anti-virus, the most GODLY program is called.. 'Hitman 2', german or something. Freeware, it'll save your life.
