what the butt

my fucking windows doesnt work anymore. well it actually does, but only in safe mode. on normal mode the monitor just turn off like it does when you setup the monitor to turn off after some idle time to save power, and stays like that, unusable

WHAT HAPPEN?

Many monitors can *look* like they're not receiving an input when they are receiving an input that is outside the resolution and/or refresh rate they can support (some monitors put up an "out of range" or similar message, but most just turn the power/standby light orange, the same as with power saving mode). Press F8 while booting up and choose VGA Mode, which will boot into Windows in normal mode but with the resolution and refresh rates reset to the lowest common denomiator that any functioning monitor can display. Then you can reset it back to your preferred resolution and it will stay like that.
