Disappearing names

When I open Windows explorer and set "view" to "thumbnails" all the file/folder names disappear. It never used to do this, and it's only the My Pictures folder, no other folders and none of the contained subfolders do it. Can't quite remember when it started but I can't think of anything I might have done to cause it.
Help anyone?

Tools>Folder Options>View>Restore defaults.

Happens to me sometimes when viewing my porn folder. Closing and reopening explorer always fixes it.

Unfortunately, I've done that plenty times and it has no effect. I've even reset my computer twice.
