Hey /comp/, I just started using Opera but there's a few things I can't get it to do.
I want it to go to the next/previous tab when I close the current tab like firefox does instead of the last active tab. I also want it to cycle through them in order using ctrl-tab without showing that annoying list (there's an option like this for switching between tabs in the order they were last used).
Also, when I use ctrl-s to save images, it says it's saving it as an HTML file but it shows up as a jpg/png/whatever just fine and I was wondering if that mattered at all.
Other than that, it's totally awesome so far.
In conclusion, FIREFOX SUX OPERA FTW LUNIX LOL MORE LEIK WINBLOWS AMIRITE??

Oh GOD, you must know that the shortcuts are different. Go to option and figure it yourself. And change accordingly to your liking.

You can pretty much map any shortcut to any key combination. Do yourself a favour, get a coke and a pack of chips, and spend some quality time with the config panel, as well as opera:config for the more advanced options. There's also a GREAT community at the Opera site, and also an Opera Wiki Site.
Enjoy your superior browser <3

ELinks (and an image viewer if you like that new "graphics" thing, I suspect it's just a passing fad though.).

GET /comp/ HTTP/1.0\r\n\r\n
Actually, if I desgined the protocol, the request would be like /comp/GET to get a webpage, and gb2/comp to check if it has changed.

I want it to go to the next/previous tab when I close the current tab like firefox does instead of the last active tab.
In 9.0 (8.* might have it too?): Preferences->advanced->shortcuts->edit a keyboard setup->search for "close page"->edit to "Close page & Switch to previous page" or "Close page & Switch to next page". Far too involved, but that's how to do it.
I also want it to cycle through them in order using ctrl-tab without showing that annoying list
Again, 9.0: preferences->advanced->tabs->Cycle without showing list.
Also, when I use ctrl-s to save images, it says it's saving it as an HTML file but it shows up as a jpg/png/whatever just fine and I was wondering if that mattered at all.
This is a bug I've been bitching at Opera about during the entire 8.* cycle. They finally fixed it in 9.0. No, it doesn't make a difference during saving, but it's damn annoying.
