If you use Azureus, do a right-click on the torrent, on ... I'm too lazy to look it up ... I think it was "peer sources" and mark decentralized tracking.

If you use another client: You're fucked.

yeah no peer sources

If everyone's stuck at 84% and there's a good number of you, chances are someone else in the pack already has DHT and peer sharing enabled.. ie. the torrent is dead

If you use another client: You're fucked.

A lot of other clients support that, you know?

Write a torrent cracker that tries to generate data that matches the hash of a block.  If lucky you will generate the right blocks and end up with a completely valid torrent -- in a couple years.

No I didn't. Which?

Go on IRC and scream OMG SEED PLZ

Not 5 but BitComet and uTorrent on the PC side and Transmission on the Mac side (nightly builds).

But it's a hash -- if you're simplying brute forcing a hash match, you're going to run into hash collisions and generate blocks that match the hash but isn't the correct data.  Better off to just hunt down the seeder and point a gun to his head and ask hiim to reseed.

There is also a hash for the entire torrent, so you'll be able to check if you generated the correct pieces when you have gotten them all.

Also, generally you know what kind of file you are downloading (you might even have got the headers, if important), so giving the cracker some hints should help with collisions.

Don't change these.
