Tech help salary?

I had my first tech help job yesterday. I cleaned 70 viruses off someone's computer and fixed the startups with HijackThis.

He gave me 50 bucks. I think I worked for around 5 hours, mostly not straight work or even any work at all.

Anyway, how much does the average clean pay, corporate or service or whatever?

anyone think you could make a living by saving peoples stuff they want and then wiping their comp and restoring the saved files?
