experience with "cantennas"?

I'm seriously thinking about buying this item, but before I spend the forty-five clams, I want a general idea of what I'm getting.

My situation is that I have a wireless router made by Linksys that is in a nearby building (I'm not leeching off of anyone, it's just out in a shed out back), but my wi-fi transceiver's are about 15 yards away and across two walls (argueably three).  I'm using the internet through this setup quite fine at times, but the connection is shakey.  I'd like to move the damn thing indoors, but I won't be able to for a few months when the phone lines here are fixed properly.

I tried one at work, it didnt help very much, but I was going through multiple walls and it was further than 15 yards.  In your case, I would give it a shot

you can make a cheap one with a pringles can. or some thick pvc pipe

pringles can and some wire, so much better AND Cheaper.

I watched ATOS on G4merLEETechTV some months back and they had the guys from http://www.freeantennas.com/ on the air explaining how this method doesn't really work all that great, because reflector dishes are better shaped for the job.  Of course, they were talking about hand made units not the precisely engineered commercial models.

Actually I'm kinda curious about these.
