Harddisk trouble

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-09 8:38

When putting together my computer from scratch about 1.5 years ago, I formatted my 300Gb harddisk.
It stopped out of itself at 120Gb.
Being a lazy snob, I didn't take the time to figure out what was going on or to retry.
Now, after all that time it's almost full and I have to start uninstalling and removing crap. Which is not nice.
My question being: Can I format my hdd creating an additional partition without removing the data I already have?
I would try for myself if I could create a backup somewhere, but I have nowhere to put my 115Gb on.

Leave the current partition intact and make another partition on the rest of the space.

Ah, problem solved. I had to download bigdiskenabler, otherwise windows xp wouldn't accept drives bigger than 127Gb.

Don't change these.
