Has anyone tried installing a Linux OS, specifically ubuntu 6.06 using Partition Magic's "Install another OS"? Does it give you the option to not install on the MBR?

Another question. If lets say I have 70.6 GB for a Win XP Partition and I wasnt to take 10 GB out, could I do it without altering the orginal Xp install?

you shrink your windows-partition. that works with either partition magic, or the installer for you lunix distribution of choice (unless you install slackware, arch, gentoo or whatnot)

OHES NOES! Anyway, Shrinking it is fine as long as it doesn't skrew up everything. Just less GB.

defrag first, and xp should be fine (make murphy's law work for you by backing up anything important). if the partitioner on the ubuntu install disk refuses to work for you(perhaps the reason you were looking into pm?), don't panic. when i installed ubuntu 5.10, i had that problem, so i used qtparted on a knoppix live cd to resize my xp partition, then the ubuntu install ran without a hitch

Thanks. How does the ubuntu partitioner work? Sorry if I sound noobish with Linux. I've been thinking of dual booting for awhile now and with Drake released, I want to do it more now.
