adding trackers to running torrents

How do I add trackers to running torrents?  Where can I go to get instructions?  Also, where are some free tracker sites?

You can't just add a tracker to a torrent. The torrent must already hosted on that tracker if you want it to work. You can't get instructions cause it won't work. If you mean public trckers. There's The Pirate Bay, isohunt, and those indexed by Torrentz. Use google. Now gtfo.

Most clients allow you to simply right click a torrent > add tracker. http://thebeehive.info/ for free trackers for your own torrents. Make sure you find out the policy before uploading it.
