I'm getting a new hard drive today so I can use RAID0. Do you think that it is smart for me to partition off say 20-40 gbs for a C drive just for the windows install, and have the rest of the space just for storage? I've seen this done before for Windows servers and was just wondering if it would improve the speed of my PC since there is nothing else on the C drive to bog down Windows.

For my computer (not a server, though) i have only 6GB for my C drive. Windows Install + Page File. I have my Temp directories, and my "My ..." folders on my D drive. I also install all games and applications to my D drive.
Then I have my E drive, and my External Drive for storage.

How would I go making my "My documents" default to my D drive?
