Image Viewers & Unicode

I've been using ACDSee 3.1 (My favourite .. ACDSee without bloat) but recently I've tried ACDSee 8.something, FastStone, Irfanview, Visere, and XnView.

None of these image viewers will display images that either reside in a folder with, or the filename contains, japanese characters.

The only viewer seems to be Windows' Picture and Fax Viewer ... but I don't like that.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Considering Comical requires something to be archived (zip'd or rar'd) It'd be a real inconvenience to have to zip/rar files JUST to look at them.

In fact, i've tried many more than that. I've tried programs like JPegger, kuView, ExifPro, Soview, Aplus Viewer ... a few do unicode, but are as featureless/optionless as windows pic/fax viewer.

With the globalization and the internet and shit ... i would've thought more programs would be unicode compliant/compatible.

It'd be a real inconvenience to store images unarchived!

Don't change these.
