/comp/ - Torrent issues.

4Chan, I have a question.

Now I know this probably isn't exactly very challenging stuff to you guys, but I wanted to drop the question here.

I use Bitcomet as my personal torrent program, and its served me very well I think. But I can't help but feel like every torrent I've been trying to download recently has been unable to reach its trackers. Is this something perhaps with the program itself or is there probably some kind of purge legal action is taking against a lot of the most common distrubutors somehow?

Also...is there a another torrent program you personally think could maybe work better in your opinion, just incase?

Alot of private trackers ban BitComet because of leechers.

BTW, the more free RAM you have, the larger your system cache can get and the better performing your I/O gets, so even with 4 GB RAM, you have a good reason to be worried about bloatware.

Also, repeating the request in >>10. We're all operating under the assumption that 20+ torrents = 80MB, which I do not believe, especially when you add a decent amount of buffering.

Here's an idea. Go download Azureus. I run with DHT/uPNP enabled. Load up a good ammount of torrents and do your OWN memory testing.
