However, I can only run up to AGP 2.0. I know I should gtfo and buy a new mobo, but I would rather just get a new video card until I absolutely have to. So, what is the best possible video card that is AGP 4x 2.0?

Best possible card for agp 2.0? Not exactly common knowledge for 2006. It's undoubtedly not an S3 virge. Maybe a Rage card, or a TNT 2 Riva. The Rivas were good cards. But in all seriousness, get a new system. New motherboard, ram, cpu, graphics card to match.

Geforce 6600GT. That's the latest one I know from experience that should work on a 2.0 AGP. But chances are most 8x AGP geforces work fine on it.
