I have an unnecessarily large avi file that I wish to make smaller. I assume by the size that is uncompressed, but I don't know what format to encode it in, nor what program I would use. I was thinking xvid or DivX, but I'm open to suggestions, as long as it isn't an AIDS-filled format like wmv or realplayer.
