Gaim vs Miranda vs (?)

Hey all...

I'm bored of MSN Messenger and need something more awesome and less shit. I tried Trillian for a while, which was nice, but it seems that you have to pay to get the plugin/skinnable version, which I'd rather not do.

I hear that Miranda and Gaim are both ok, with plugin support and general handy stuff.

Anyone know the pros and cons of each, thus, which one I should go for?

What the fuck are you talking about?  No font support?  There's a friggin whole panel in preferences devouted to changing every font.
