The wonders of HD space.

Here's how it is. The new HD I bought to store legal backups of my cd's and dvd's finally reached its limit. And, naturally, instead of cleaning it up I'm plannin on getting another one.

Now, I don't like having to separade storage discs. So a raid 0 or spanning of the discs is in order. How do I do this? Should both drives use the same connection (ATA/SATA)? Also, is it possible to mount the new drive as a slave and still link them?

Here's how it really is. RAID 0 is striping. What you want is JBOD.  Only span if you like really big partitions.  Interface shouldn't matter if going software-based.

Don't change these.
