how do i shot vcd

I recently downloaded a movie, and decided, for the first time, that I would burn it to a vcd so I could watch it on the telly. I used kavi2svcd to convert it to mpeg2 format, and then burned it with k3b. Upon watching I found that it had swapped all reds with blues, and made the whole thing upside down. I don't want to spend hours reencoding, so is there a simple way of fixing these glitches so I can reburn and be happy?

When you finished converting it to MPEG2, use your dvd software player (WinDVD, PowerDVD, VLC,MPC, etc), check if the file is fine or not. If not, as per /comp/ policy. goto www.opera.con, failing that reformat your computer.
