X64 Radeon Drivers.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-28 22:12

The CCC,  which is mandatory with the X64 official driver is the biggest load of tripe I've seen in a good while.  When i hit the advanced tab in display settings all I want to see is setting sliders,   not some cruddy car game that takes time for my system to load.

I checked up on a few forums,  and I dont think omega drivers are going to do X64 at all.  so what alternatives are there?  There has to be more release groups out there, but google has failed me.

Check NGO HQ out, perhaps they have some NGO optimized drivers for ATi and x64.

P.S.: ATi's CCC sucks big hairy greasy oozy monkey balls, it's the biggest fuckup in video drivers ever, it's almost as if it were a professional enterprise Java solution. This is the main reason why I moved to nVidia and plan on sticking to it.

Opera sucks sure there's an ebuild for opera but it just get dropped to /opt, it's statically linked, and it's CLOSED SOURCE, which means that it is a BINARY package.

After some link cruising from NGO I came across this -

Are DNA drivers any good?  I know omega drivers are a trusted source,  but I havent heard anything at all about DNA drivers.
