Fucking router

I think my router is going dead, it has always acted funny, but now for the first time ever Azureus is saying that it is having firewall problems.  I mean I had already configured the router to be ok with Azureus and I had straight greens.


Anyway, this is basically a rant about the basic wrt54g router.  If it is possible, I'm going to go ahead and throw a linux on there cause it really feels like the router just can't handle stress or something.

Which version? I have v4, loaded Tofu. HyperWRT for earlier versions.

I suggest A) disabling your soft firewall, even if you think it's configured correctly and it was working fine before. B) make sure your local LAN IP is the same as the one you've forwarded. Sometimes Dynamic DHCP likes to change it.

If that fails, do a hard reset, see if it works then, and then try an alternative firmware. Also, if Azureus' website is down, the forward test won't work. Get a hugely popular torrent and see if you turn Green then.

No, that version is fucked. I don't think there is any firmware for it.

I see that you said it has been working. Software firewalls are shit. Rule of thumb. Shut it down and see what happens.
