I remember some guy asking in /a/ saying that he was having problems with a certain player. I forgot what everyone said to download. Any suggestions?

Get the right codecs (usually fansubs are DivX or XviD) and a decent computer. Any player will work fine with those-except for QuickTime.

Opera sucks sure there's an ebuild for opera but it just get dropped to /opt, it's statically linked, and it's CLOSED SOURCE, which means that it is a BINARY package.

CCCP codec pack is the greatest
It plays everything with MPC
About VLC:it's great but for h.264 it really sucks

vlc's softsubs SUCK. they look crappy and when there are two or more sentenses at once it all gets messed up.

I use MPC because for some reason VLC won't play part of my collection of urine vids

Don't change these.
