Yes, I use Gentoo. So? I dont see any problem. I embraced my Gentoo distro long ago and I am happy together with my workstation (that is a stage 1 box!). I have a fucking lot of ebuilds in and outside of portage and my CFLAGS are pretty optimized and solid.

But thanks anyway asshole. Go and use your stupid Debian while I EMERGE new ebuilds.

Regarding the long haired, LSD taking hippie: I already said what I wanted to - he may have all the time in the world to waste compiling shit and going VROOM VROOOM, but I'd rather download executable files from trusted sources which depend on standard libraries (which, if necessary, I can download in executable form too). This way I can download, test, and dump or adopt in 2 minutes instead of 20, having to fix all the shit that won't compile and waiting for a 1 MB shell script to run for 5 minutes doing shit. Lol freedom!!!! I like open sauce, but I don't like to deal with the sauce if I'm not cooking pizza at the moment.
