Opteron Processors

I orered the parts for a dual Opteron 246 system yesterday, and one of my friends said "ewww opteron" when he found out. What's up with that? Everyone else I know and I think opterons are pretty awesome, especially for the price.

Does he know something we don't, or is he just talking shit?

HAHAHAHAHA! So he really is an idiot then. The Opteron is basically the Athlon 64 on steroids (or the X2 in the case of dual core Opties). Some Opteron models are almost identical internally to San Diego core A64s anyway. Your friend has his head up his arse.
