Opteron Processors

I orered the parts for a dual Opteron 246 system yesterday, and one of my friends said "ewww opteron" when he found out. What's up with that? Everyone else I know and I think opterons are pretty awesome, especially for the price.

Does he know something we don't, or is he just talking shit?

Just an update for anyone that cares, I asked for elaboration and he said Athlon 64 > Opteron.
