File and hard drive questions

I recently bough a ide to usb cable, so I could try and get stuff I saved off my DVR to my PC. I was able to look at the hard drive, it's a 160g hard drive. When I look at it through my PC I has lots of random files like this, I assume the STR files are the video. I get an error when trying to move them though.
The hard drive shows up connected to my pc as 148gig with no free space though. Any suggestions?

Lol...... u didn't try hard enough then.... seriously it should tell you that .str is encryted and some other ppl already tried this
