Litestep + Nonstep

Relatively new Litestep user here.  I'm using the latest ver of Nonstep, and have been poking around to see what I can mod.  So far I've made my own color scheme and...uh, well that's about it.  I'm really interested in changing the clock font (it seems to be drawing the font from the same font as the taskbar).  I know this can be done, I've seen screens.

Also, adding shortcut tabs to the taskbar (a la quick launch) would be fantastic.  Nonstep's right click menu is certainly loaded, but I need quick one-click access to some programs.  More info on how to do this would be appreciated, as I'm sure it's possible.

Ok, any SERIOUS help?  Most of the Litestep tutorials I find are more targeted toward making your own theme or modules.  Making shortcuts SHOULD be pretty simple...right? o______o
